Basketball Recap: Maranatha Baptist Comes Up Short

Maranatha Baptist was the 46-17 winner over Wisconsin School for the Deaf when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Maranatha Baptist Crusaders fell just short of the Wisconsin School for the Deaf Firebirds by a score of 41-38 on Thursday. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maranatha Baptist now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Wisconsin School for the Deaf, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-2.

Maranatha Baptist won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Washington County HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Maranatha Baptist has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests. As for Wisconsin School for the Deaf, they will venture away from home to square off against Rock County Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wisconsin School for the Deaf's defense has only allowed 26.7 points per game this season, so Rock County Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.
