Football Recap: Storm Lake Takes a Loss

Storm Lake lost against Sergeant Bluff-Luton back in September of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tornadoes were beaten by the Warriors 59-14. While losing is never fun, the Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Warriors are ranked ninth).

Storm Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Sergeant Bluff-Luton, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Storm Lake is set to square off against their familiar foe Fort Dodge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sergeant Bluff-Luton will take on rival Le Mars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
