New Covenant Academy managed to slip by Halfway the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Warriors came up short against the Cardinals on Friday, falling 14-8. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Nick Ingle made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Link, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

New Covenant Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Halfway, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

New Covenant Academy will take on Skyline at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Halfway, they will head out on the road to take on Hermitage at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
