Volleyball Recap: Cair Paravel Comes Up Short

Cair Paravel lost against Marais des Cygnes Valley back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16.

Karsyn Hastert paced Cair Paravel's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hastert got some help from Clare Everhart and her 17 assists. Hastert also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kameron Welshans, each putting up two.

Cair Paravel's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Marais des Cygnes Valley, the win was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-1.

Cair Paravel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Council Grove on the 30th. As for Marais des Cygnes Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Olpe on the 30th.
