Softball Recap: Liberty Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Liberty can now relate to. They came up short against the Petersburg Vikings on Wednesday, falling 12-2. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liberty saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katie Mullens, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Petersburg, their victory bumped their record up to 14-10.

Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Petersburg, they will take on Logan at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
