Last Thursday, Omaha Christian Academy earned a 38-26 win over Cedar Bluffs. The victory was just what Omaha Christian Academy needed coming off of a 54-17 loss in their prior match.
Omaha Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jeevan James out in front who scored 12 points. Kade Dejong was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, Walthill put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 71-57 win over Hartington-Newcastle. Given Walthill's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Hartington-Newcastle is ranked 177th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Omaha Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Walthill, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
Omaha Christian Academy took a serious blow against Walthill when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 71-35. Can Omaha Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
