Baseball Recap: Panorama Takes a Loss

Panorama was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 18-8 to the San Gabriel Matadors.

Yahir Diaz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Christopher Mejia also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Panorama's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for San Gabriel, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-14.

Panorama didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-10 defeat against Canoga Park on the 23rd. As for San Gabriel, they will take on Verbum Dei Jesuit at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
