Recap: Dadeville Tigers vs. Wicksburg Panthers
The Dadeville Tigers were the 28-21 winner over the Wicksburg Panthers when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Dadeville fell to Wicksburg 28-22. Dadeville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Dadeville still got an impressive performance from Brandez Eason, who rushed for 215 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. Eason's longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards. Another player making a difference was Corde Jefferson, who rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown.
Even if they lost, Dadeville's defense sure didn't make it easy: Wicksburg's QB was sacked four times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Ty Moon and his two sacks.
It was another big night for Mason Burkhardt, who rushed for 244 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
Dadeville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Wicksburg, their victory bumped their record up to 5-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dadeville will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Thomasville at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Thomasville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Dadeville in Alabama (Thomasville is ranked 79th, while Dadeville is ranked 220th). As for Wicksburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Reeltown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Reeltown is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
