Volleyball Recap: Des Moines Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Des Moines couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Melrose Buffaloes on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Demons in their meetings with the Buffaloes: they've now lost three in a row.

Shylynn Downey was nothing short of spectacular for Melrose: she had 18 digs and three aces.

Des Moines' defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Melrose, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 22-2.
