Basketball Recap: Pitman Comes Up Short

After flying high against Salem County Vo-Tech on Monday, Pitman came back down to earth. The Panthers took a blow against the Pennsville Memorial Eagles on Wednesday, falling 49-21. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Pitman's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Pennsville Memorial, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pitman will challenge Highland Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pennsville Memorial, they will take on Delsea at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
