Soccer Recap: Kirtland vs. Columbia
With a playoff game on the line, Kirtland rose to the challenge on Saturday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Columbia Raiders 1-0. The Hornets' winning goal came courtesy of Isabel Mueller.
The win (which was Kirtland's fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-7-1. As for Columbia, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-2-2.
Kirtland's road trip will continue as they head out to face Kalida at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kalida will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Kirtland surely won't give up without a fight. Columbia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
