Baseball Recap: Pflugerville Comes Up Short

Pflugerville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Del Valle Cardinals. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Pflugerville's loss dropped their record down to 8-14-1. As for Del Valle, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-14-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pflugerville will challenge Weiss at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Del Valle, they will square off against Westlake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals are facing the Chaparrals at the right time seeing as the Chaparrals are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
