Basketball Recap: Cape Henlopen Comes Up Short

If Cape Henlopen was riding high fresh off their 61-24 takedown of Mountain View last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cape Henlopen Vikings took a 61-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Decatur Seahawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 65-56 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Davin Chandler went supernova for Decatur, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Caleb Loring, who posted nine points and eight rebounds.

Cape Henlopen's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Decatur, their record is now 5-2.

Cape Henlopen didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-56 loss against Decatur on the 3rd. As for Decatur, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-42 victory against Mardela on the 2nd.
