Basketball Recap: Kearney Comes Up Short

Kearney lost against Grain Valley back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Kearney Bulldogs took a 50-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grain Valley Eagles.

When it comes to explaining why Kearney lost, don't look at Brooke Paalhar. Despite the final result, she posted eight points and four steals. Kayla Resler was another key player, putting up seven points.

Kearney now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Grain Valley, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kearney will take on Smithville in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Grain Valley and Truman will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
