Basketball Recap: Asa Gonsalves and Samson Helsby Secure Win for Ben Holt College Prep Academy + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bella Vista, Ben Holt College Prep Academy was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the Stockton Christian Eagles 68-44. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Leading Ben Holt College Prep Academy to victory were Samson Helsby and Asa Gonsalves. Helsby posted 27 points, while Gonsalves scored 19 points. Those 19 points gave Gonsalves a new career-high. Isaiah Williams was another key player, putting up nine points.

Stockton Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ayden Rachal, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Jordan Henderson, who put up seven points and 13 boards.

The victory got Ben Holt College Prep Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Stockton Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ben Holt College Prep Academy will host Stagg at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stockton Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Elliot Christian at 8:00 p.m. on December 4.
