Northwestern won the last time they faced Smithville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Huskies put the hurt on the Smithies with a sharp 13-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won eight matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Northwestern, bringing their record up to 11-9. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Smithville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Northwestern will be playing at home against Tuslaw at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Smithville, they will venture away from home to face off against Hiland at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Smithies are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
