Baseball Recap: Star City Comes Up Short

Star City lost against Monticello back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulldogs fell 11-6 to the Billies. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Star City's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Monticello, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

Coming up, Star City will square off against DeWitt at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Dragons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Monticello, they will face off against Dumas at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Billies are facing the Bobcats at the right time seeing as the Bobcats are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
