Baseball Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Clinton can now relate to. They fell 7-4 to the Tupelo Golden Wave on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Arrows in their meetings with the Golden Wave: they've now lost three in a row.

Parker Thames made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was David Steelman, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Tupelo, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 20-14 record this season.

Clinton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tupelo, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-5 loss against Madison Central on the 13th.
