If Houston Adventist Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Calvary Baptist, they should've done a better job of containing Max Guisler. The Calvary Baptist Eagles took down Houston Adventist Academy 64-45 on Thursday thanks in part to Guisler, who went 11 of 17 on his way to 26 points and eight boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Tyler Wilson was another key player, going 5 for 12 en route to 14 points and six assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Houston Adventist Academy lost, don't look at Ottis Crudup. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 55.6% of Houston Adventist Academy's points, marking the 11th time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tadeo Cedeno, who had ten points.

Calvary Baptist has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Houston Adventist Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
