Metea Valley posted their closest victory since January 27th on Monday. They had just enough and edged the Willowbrook Warriors out 51-49. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Metea Valley found their leader in freshman Payton Giannone, who posted 15 points. Giannone is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games. Kelly Clish was another key player, putting up nine points.

Metea Valley's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Willowbrook, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Metea Valley will face off against Neuqua Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Willowbrook, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Addison Trail at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
