Basketball Game Preview: Twin Valley Wildcats vs. Bellows Falls Terriers

Twin Valley and Bellows Falls are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Twin Valley Wildcats will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Bellows Falls Terriers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Twin Valley will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Green Mountain, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Twin Valley managed a 58-52 victory over Green Mountain on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Twin Valley found their leader in sophomore Brayden Brown, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least a third of Twin Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Sullivan, who posted eight points and 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Bellows Falls came into Tuesday's contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Mt. St. Joseph Academy with a sharp 65-41 win on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Terriers have posted since December 12, 2023.

Twin Valley now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bellows Falls, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0.

Twin Valley opened the new year with a less-than-successful 63-53 loss to Bellows Falls. Can Twin Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
