There's no place like home for Maple Mountain, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Tuesday. They blew past the Timpview Thunderbirds 11-1 on Thursday. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six  runs or more this season.
 Carly Erickson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  struck out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits (and only one walk). That's the fewest  hits  she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news, Maple Mountain let  Gracie Jensen and  Daphnee Pagano run wild. Jensen  scored a  run while going 3-for-3, while  Pagano  scored two  runs while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of  McClain Carter, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Maple Mountain  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .519. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Timpview only posted  an  OBP of  .200.
Maple Mountain pushed their record up to 9-2 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Timpview,  they are  on  a  14-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.
 Looking ahead, Maple Mountain will head out on the road to  face off against  Brighton  at 3:30  p.m.  on Monday. Maple Mountain's pitchers better be ready for this one: Brighton has averaged an impressive 7.9  runs per game this season. As for Timpview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wasatch  at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
