Softball Recap: Glendora Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Glendora extended their winning streak to six on Wednesday, bumping them up to 22-2-2. They put the hurt on the Claremont Wolfpack with a sharp 12-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Tartans, who have now won 15 games by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Lauren Curiel, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Morgan Gonzalez, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Glendora always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Claremont only posted an OBP of .211.

As for Claremont, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-14. Those road losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games.

On Claremont's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Danni Stanton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple.

Glendora didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-2 victory against Bonita on the 1st. As for Claremont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-0 defeat against Ayala on the 1st.
