Baseball Game Preview: Gilbert Tigers vs. Highland Hawks

The Gilbert Tigers will face off against the Highland Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gilbert is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Gilbert came out on top against Dobson on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fifth inning. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Mustangs 9-7.

Will Bates was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Goodman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Highland beat Desert Ridge 6-3 on Thursday.

Highland's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-10. As for Gilbert, their win bumped their record up to 10-15.
