Softball Recap: Crater's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Crater had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They never let the Springfield Millers get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. Considering the Comets have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Crater's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-8. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Springfield, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-20.

Crater will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Millers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
