Basketball Recap: Phillips' Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Phillips won against Gilman last Monday with 63 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Phillips Loggers beat the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Bulldogs by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 63-51. Winning may never get old, but the Loggers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Phillips' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. As for Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Coming up, Phillips is taking a road trip to challenge Marathon at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Phillips knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Marathon likes a good challenge. As for Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, they will be playing at home against Spooner at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chetek-Weyerhaeuser is facing Spooner at the right time seeing as Spooner is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
