Soccer Recap: Granada Hills Charter Takes a Loss

Granada Hills Charter lost against Birmingham back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Granada Hills Charter Highlanders fell 3-1 to the Birmingham Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Highlanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Patriots are ranked seventh).

This is the second loss in a row for Granada Hills Charter and nudges their season record down to 9-7-4. As for Birmingham, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Granada Hills Charter will challenge Taft at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Birmingham, they will take on Chatsworth at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
