Football Recap: Fisher Comes Up Short

Fisher lost against LeRoy back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bunnies had to suffer through a 41-14 loss at the hands of the Panthers. Despite 74 more yards than the Panthers, the Bunnies couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Keeton Jones threw for 83 yards and one touchdown. Andrew Todd was his top target, picking up 49 receiving yards. On the ground, Bo Epperson rushed for 94 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

Stephon Williams was nothing short of spectacular for LeRoy: he rushed for 112 yards and three scores on only 13 carries.

This is the second loss in a row for Fisher and nudges their season record down to 1-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 4-1 Heyworth (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 65% over those games). As for LeRoy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fisher will challenge rival Tuscola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, LeRoy is set to square off against their familiar foe Heyworth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
