Softball Recap: Bishop McDevitt Comes Up Short

Bishop McDevitt lost against Carlisle back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Bishop McDevitt fell 5-2 to Carlisle. The Crusaders just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Bishop McDevitt's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Carlisle, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop McDevitt will challenge Palmyra at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palmyra has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.6 runs per game on average), something Bishop McDevitt will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Carlisle, they will take on Gettysburg at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carlisle is facing Gettysburg at the right time seeing as Gettysburg is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
