Volleyball Recap: Ellis Comes Up Short

Ellis lost against Smith Center back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Railroaders fell just short of the Redmen by a score of 2-1. The Railroaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Among those leading the charge was Lillie Heiland, who had 14 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Ellis' record now sits at 5-11. As for Smith Center, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Ellis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Hoxie on the 30th. As for Smith Center, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Plainville on the 30th.
