Volleyball Recap: Norwich RVT Starts Season with Victory Against Putnam

Norwich RVT gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They blew past the Putnam Clippers 3-0. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Clippers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Norwich RVT never let Putnam on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-21, 27-25.

Norwich RVT found their leader in sophomore Max Stimson, who had ten digs and four aces.

Norwich RVT was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in May of 2024.

Putnam is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norwich RVT will host Cheney Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Putnam, they will challenge Maloney at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
