Basketball Recap: Islamic Foundation Comes Up Short

Islamic Foundation played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the MCC Crescents, falling 68-46. The Chargers have struggled against the Crescents recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Amaar Ibrahim was his usual excellent self, going 12 for 16 on his way to 26 points and six rebounds for MCC. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ibrahim has scored at least a third of MCC's points. Another player making a difference was Zayd Ibrahim, who went 5 of 8 en route to 13 points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Islamic Foundation's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for MCC, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11.

Islamic Foundation has already played their next game (against Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. MCC didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-50 loss against Taft on the 1st.
