Football Recap: Tri County Northeast Falls to Bancroft-Rosalie in First Game of Season

Tri County Northeast had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers, falling 42-22. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolfpack of the 34-20 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Tri County Northeast's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Thatcher Lamp, who threw for 126 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 75 yards. Lamp didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble and made nine total tackles. A healthy portion of Lamp's aerial production (85 yards to be exact) went to Jaxon Hall, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Braxton Bonneau was nothing short of spectacular for Bancroft-Rosalie: he rushed for 141 yards and five touchdowns.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri County Northeast will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Bloomfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bancroft-Rosalie, they will take on Homer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
