Softball Recap: Paris Comes Up Short

Paris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 30th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the North Lamar Panthers, falling 19-0. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 17-1 to the Panthers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Paris' loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for North Lamar, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Paris will challenge Pittsburg at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for North Lamar, a feisty cat fight will be fought as North Lamar Panthers challenge Sulphur Springs Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sulphur Springs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so North Lamar's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
