Soccer Game Preview: Cypress Lake vs. South Fort Myers

The Cypress Lake Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the South Fort Myers Wolfpack at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Cypress Lake is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Bonita Springs on Tuesday. Cypress Lake and Bonita Springs finished up their match with a 2-2 draw.

Emily Desmond and Rylie Weeks scored both of Cypress Lake's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, while South Fort Myers scored more goals than they have all season, the final result was a bit underwhelming. They played to a draw too, finishing 3-3 against Gateway Charter. The result was nothing new for the Wolfpack as the team has yet to pick up a win this season.

South Fort Myers' draw makes their record 0-9-2 this season. As for Cypress Lake, they moved theirs to 3-6-1.

Everything went Cypress Lake's way against South Fort Myers when the teams last played back in November of 2023, as Cypress Lake made off with an 8-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cypress Lake since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
