Howland falls despite big games from Alex Henry and John Perry

Recap: Howland Tigers vs. Harding Raiders

The Howland Tigers lost against the Harding Raiders back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Howland took a 44-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders.

John Perry and Alex Henry certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Perry dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while Henry scored nine points along with six assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Perry has scored all season.

It was another big night for Chaz Coleman, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and four steals for Harding. Davion Herron was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.

Howland now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Harding, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Howland's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Canfield presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Tigers in Ohio (the Cardinals are ranked 74th, while the Tigers are ranked 312th). As for Harding, they will head out on the road to take on the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Boardman has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
