Preview: Washington County vs. Bethlehem
On Friday, Bethlehem is packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Washington County at 7:30 PM. Keep an eye on the score for this one : both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.
Bethlehem took care of business in their home opener. They steamrollered Shawnee 53-0. Bethlehem was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Washington County had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Green County 39-13. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Washington County had established a 33-13 advantage.
Their wins bumped Washington County to 1-0 and Bethlehem to 1-0. With both Bethlehem and Washington County swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
