Volleyball Recap: River Valley Takes a Loss

River Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Purchase Line Red Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

While River Valley was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Purchase Line's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-12, 25-14.

River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Purchase Line, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. River Valley will take on rival Penns Manor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Purchase Line is set to face off against their familiar foe West Shamokin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
