Preview: Belle Tigers vs. Iberia Rangers
The Belle Tigers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Iberia Rangers at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st. Belle will be strutting in after a win while the Rangers will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Monday, everything went Belle's way against the Lions as the Tigers made off with a 63-39 victory. The victory was just what Belle needed coming off of a 59-33 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Iberia unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They received a tough blow as they fell 65-50 to Plato.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Chloe Edwards, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kaye Humphrey, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Belle's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 11-8. As for Iberia, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
Belle came up short against the Rangers in their previous matchup on Friday, falling 59-48. Can Belle avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
