Basketball Recap: Skipstone Academy Takes a Loss

Skipstone Academy was the 61-56 winner over Lafayette Christian when they last played one another back in December of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors took a 56-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars on Thursday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Skipstone Academy still got an impressive performance from Scooter Barkley, who posted 33 points. The matchup was Barkley's fifth in a row with at least 22 points.

Skipstone Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Lafayette Christian, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-8 record.

Skipstone Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-43 win against Scholars Guild Academy on the 30th. Lafayette Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
