Basketball Game Preview: Greenway Raiders vs. Nashwauk-Keewatin Spartans

The Greenway Raiders will venture away from home to take on the Nashwauk-Keewatin Spartans at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Greenway will be strutting in after a victory while Nashwauk-Keewatin will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, everything went Greenway's way against Carlton/Wrenshall as Greenway made off with a 71-51 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Meanwhile, Nashwauk-Keewatin was beaten by Barnum 85-46 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 375th, while the Bombers are ranked 163rd).

Greenway is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.5 points per game. As for Nashwauk-Keewatin, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-10.

Everything came up roses for Greenway against Nashwauk-Keewatin in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as the team secured a 91-33 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Greenway since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
