Softball Recap: Houston County Comes Up Short

Houston County lost against McEwen last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Fighting Irish took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Fighting Irish have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Peyton Brooks and Addie Horn stepped up to the plate in a big way. Brooks went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs, while Horn went 2-for-3 with one home run.

Houston County's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for McEwen, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-5.

As of now, neither Houston County nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
