Recap: Western Reserve Academy Pioneers vs. HEA Firebirds HomeSchool
After a string of three wins, the Western Reserve Academy Pioneers's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 44-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of HEA Firebirds HomeSchool. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Western Reserve Academy has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Western Reserve Academy saw an underclassman step up: Brooklyn Hall dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Hall's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Steindl, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Western Reserve Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for HEA Firebirds HomeSchool, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Western Reserve Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against South Bend Washington at 4:00 p.m. on December 16th. Averaging 63.2 so far this season, South Bend Washington's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Western Reserve Academy better be ready for a challenge. HEA Firebirds HomeSchool will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Capital HomeSchool at 8:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
