Volleyball Recap: Norwayne Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

Norwayne hadn't done well against Triway recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bobcats blew past the Titans 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Bobcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Norwayne was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-19, 25-18.

Ava Maibach paced Norwayne's offense, picking up 17 kills. Maibach got some help from CJ Moore and her 20 assists. Moore also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Cherish Bell, racking up four apiece.

Norwayne pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Triway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Norwayne will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Waynedale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Bobcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Triway, they will be playing at home against Indian Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
