Basketball Recap: Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue Takes a Loss

Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of St. John. The Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue Warriors were beaten by the St. John's Cadets 65-33. The match marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. John's to victory, but perhaps none more so than Morgan Stewart, who went 5 of 11 en route to 16 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Camille Nesmith, who posted ten points and six rebounds.

Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3. As for St. John's, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

As for St. John's, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-28 victory against Charlotte on the 20th.
