Softball Recap: Barnwell Snags 14th Win in Last 16 Games

While Barnwell's victory against Colleton County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warhorses narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Cougars 9-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-2 on Monday.

The team relied heavily on Abigail Corley, who went 1-for-4 with three runs and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.

Barnwell is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Colleton County, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-5.

As of now, neither Barnwell nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
