Soccer Game Preview: La Porte vs. West Fork

The La Porte Bulldogs will face off against the West Fork Gators at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. La Porte's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

La Porte is looking to pick up the season's first win, something they couldn't quite do against Pasadena Memorial on Friday. Neither La Porte nor Pasadena Memorial could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, West Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Columbia.

West Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. With that draw, La Porte's record moves to 0-2-1.

La Porte was able to grind out a solid victory over West Fork in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 2-0. Will La Porte repeat their success, or does West Fork have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
