Soccer Recap: Bluefield Comes Up Short

After flying high against Midland Trail on Thursday, Bluefield came back down to earth. The Beavers came up short against the Braxton County Eagles on Saturday, falling 10-0.

Bluefield has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7-1 record this season. As for Braxton County, their win bumped their record up to 17-0.

Coming up, Bluefield will head out on the road to challenge James Monroe at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bluefield will be up against James Monroe's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.5 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Braxton County, they will host Pocahontas County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
