Baseball Recap: Rainier Comes Up Short

Rainier made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Rochester, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Mountaineers fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 12-10 on Tuesday.

Rainier has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.67 runs. As for Rochester, they moved to 11-8 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Rainier is taking a road trip to square off against Tenino at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rochester does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
