Football Recap: Bishop Alemany Comes Up Short on the Road Against Calabasas

Bishop Alemany kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Calabasas Coyotes by a score of 37-34. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Kayne Miller was nothing short of spectacular for Calabasas: he rushed for 187 yards and two TDs on only 15 carries, and also picked up 82 receiving yards and one touchdown. Miller also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making six total tackles and defending one pass. Another player making a difference was Dominik Hardy, who rushed for 87 yards and one score on only ten carries.

Looking ahead, Bishop Alemany will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Notre Dame (SO) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Calabasas, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Castaic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
